The best strategy is to always shoot through the shield, at least in Space Invaders. While the idea of adapting the retro video game into a full length feature film has been on the market for some time, it was a clear sign that Hollywood was scraping beyond the bottom of the barrel. Now there is word that GI Joe Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura will helm the project. In addition of GI Joe, Bonaventura has also produced films like the Transformers Trilogy, Red, and Salt. So it’s a pretty short but decent resume considering it will be an action sci-fi film.

So the only major pieces of the puzzle that are left are casting and hiring a screenwriter.

Now the game itself did not have any developing story. You were a tank and you had to shoot the fighters and the mother ship down while they were firing on you. »
